What is normal after a procedure?
Injections can cause small amounts of swelling, a temporary bump, redness, bruising, a mild to moderate headache, and sensations such as tingling and mild inching. These effects are so common they can be classed a normal part of the process.
Protecting your results and reducing side effects
On The Day:
- Do not touch, rub, massage or apply pressure to the treated area
- Remain upright for 4 hours after your procedure
- Do not shampoo hair or have a scalp massage
- Do not consume alcohol
- Do not have a facial or any facial treatment
- Do not apply make up
- If cleansing, use gentle strokes away from the eyes
- Do not undertake any exercise & avoid bending forwards/backwards excessively
Within two weeks of treatment
- Avoid extreme sun exposure and freezing temperatures
- Avoid exposure to UV light, sun beds

- Avoid wearing tight caps or garments in the area that has been treated
- Avoid the use of saunas, steam rooms, very hot showers, and strenuous exercise
Further advice
